It was a decision arising from the transfer of ownership in 2005 from Cheshire Sports to the Supporters Trust, and was based on a totally unsustainable business model.  Leonard Curtis, a firm well versed in business recovery, but absolutely no experience of football as a business, were appointed as Administrators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">It led to a 13 month period when the future of the Club was in the balance.  A dreadful time for County supporters, who not only saw the team relegated, but were largely in the dark as to what the future might hold.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\">..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The links below trace the progress, (and for a long time the lack of it), in looking for new owners. Promises of a deal were made, but as before, came to naught. A deal was struck and the Club saved. A proposed takeover by Merseyside business man Tony Evans rose and fell, leaving along the way a new manager; a new team; and the challenge of non-league football.
