There could one ever be the one highlighted game! My first ever sighting of County. Little did I know as I stood on the Railway End that October afternoon that there would be 1,956 games to follow. I outline in my piece about Edgeley Park how I was entranced by what I saw that day.

It wasn’t a winning start. We drew 2-2, John Evans scored twice. I suspect that nobody in the crowd of 5,947 that day has the same memory of the game!!
